Identifying as a Mediterranean islander, Danae (pronounced as than-eye) complited her bachelor’s studies in Geography on Lesvos island, northeast Aegean Sea. After an MA in Historical Demography and an MSc in Cartography (Erasmus Mundus, TU Munich, Vienna, Dresden) she started her doctorate journey in Durham on “Arctic Cartographic Uncertainties”. Following a semester of lecturing in Teesside University she is now a Postdoc researcher in Vrije Universiteit Amsterdam, applying her creative art/science research expertice in the PerfectSTORM: ‘Storylines of Future Extremes’ project.
