Arogya is the Tech and Innovation Lead at Kathmandu Living Labs, a leading civic tech company working in Nepal and the region. He has supported the design and development of several open data and civic tech projects aimed at promoting and supporting the use of data in government, civil society, and the private sector. Some of these include the Open Local Government Digital System for Nepalgunj Sub-Metropolitan City, the 2015 Nepal Earthquake Data Portal, Jaibik Map, and Explore Pokhara. He is currently leding the technical development of Baato, Nepal’s first cloud based location services provider.
Prior to joining KLL, Arogya spent more than two years working as a data scientist out of Bangalore, India. An engineer by degree, he combined his interests in statistical programming, data visualization and web development to build robust and scalable analytical solutions for several Fortune 500 companies in the retail, banking and technology sectors.
